At our ranch in the beautiful Mission valley of western
Montana we have raised registered
Shetland sheep since 1991 and Bluefaced Leicesters since
1999. With the use of imported
semen we have improved our BFLs and built up one of the
largest flocks in the Northwest.
We also raise Registered Purebred and Percentage Lowline
Angus Cattle
and Miniature White Park Cattle

I start at the very beginning of the process by raising my
own sheep. Fall 2008 breeding season will start
a bit later than usual so lambing won't commence till April
2009. Lord willing I'll be felting up a storm
this winter. As the days shorten towards winter I realize
that in just a short time my thoughts
will turn towards spring which is a busy time caring for
the ewes and lambs and washing and dyeing the wool to
prepare for felting. It is a year round cycle that keeps me
extremely busy as well as
looking forward to the next spring and new lambs.
