Bitterroot Ranch

After what seems like months of fog and gray days, we were blessed with sunshine yesterday and today. I managed to get the camera out and snap a few pictures of the ewes. Gandy, our young guard donkey, thought he needed to be in the picture and moved right in. With lambing not anticipated to start until the end of March I was pretty shocked at how big some of the girls are getting already. Lots of little udders starting to form.

My friend, Judy Shafter, and I worked together on refurbishing a pair of movie theater seats. At Judy's request I made a bright blue felt fabric with red poppies to be used for the backs of the seats. Judy S. removed the old upholstry fabric, had new padding put on the seats, repainted the metal parts and reassembled the chairs. The chairs were auctioned off at a fundraiser for a local art group (Nine Pipes Art Group).

Other than a few small details my studio was completed this past week and I started moving in last Thursday. Here are a couple pictures of my new work space. I'm thrilled to have such a well-lit space and thankful to be out of the kitchen.
