Bluefaced Leicesters
In the
summer of 1999 we decided to add Bluefaced Leicester sheep
to our operation. Being a handspinner I must confess that
the decision was heavily influenced by the fine lustrous
wool produced by these sheep. We have endeavored to keep
improving our flock each year, first with bringing rams
with new genetics (via AI) in their background then by
having some of our own ewes AI with semen from Barleas
Titus and Beeston Titan.
This year a number of our ewes were AI'd with Carryhouse
281 R1. We are looking forward with excitement to our 2008
lamb crop. We will have an excellent selection of lambs,
yearlings and adults for sale in spring 2008.
At present we plan to attend the Black Sheep Gathering in
June 2008 in Eugene, OR and can deliver livestock enroute.
